Danielle practices civil litigation in a variety of areas with an emphasis on insurance defence. Danielle started as a law clerk with McCague Borlack in 2016 and completed her articles here in 2018. She was then hired back as an associate following her articles.

Throughout her progression with the firm, Danielle has gained experience in a wide variety of matters including motor vehicle tort claims, accident benefits claims, insurance coverage disputes, property damage claims, and subrogation. She has extensive experience with various aspects of a file, having approached it from different roles at a law firm. This is to her advantage when analyzing client files to determine the best approach for efficient management throughout the life of a file. She has appeared at the Ontario Superior Court and Smalls Claims Court and has actively prepared for those appearances, including drafting a variety of litigation documents, advancing legal arguments, and preparing timely, concise reports to clients to keep them apprised of important developments.

Prior to joining McCague Borlack, Danielle was a legal researcher at a legal charity in London, UK where she was responsible for drafting materials to be submitted to the United Nations Special Procedures Office and correspondence to various EU ministers. The writing skills she developed while completing the thesis for her LL.M and in her work as a legal researcher continues to help her develop her written advocacy skills.

When she is not at the office, Danielle can be found running the streets of Toronto training for her next marathon, planning her next travel adventure, hitting the links, or attending live shows and concerts.
