Emily practices civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defence. Her practice includes the areas of product liability, professional negligence, subrogation and commercial litigation.

Starting as a summer student and after successfully completing her articles, Emily joined McCague Borlack LLP in 2012 as an associate lawyer.

Emily maintains an active role in her community, using her advocacy skills to advance rights for young persons and people living with disabilities. She currently serves on the Youth Justice Committee,where she works with victims of youth crime and young persons in conflict with the law. During law school, she collaboratively worked to form the University of Ottawa’s Common Law Disability, Accessibility and Awareness Club and is currently a member of the ARCH Disability Law Centre.
