Grant received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor.

Grant has appeared as an expert witness in the area of family law for the Law Society of Upper Canada. He has written a number of papers and is a frequent presenter for the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Grant was called to the Ontario Bar in 1981. In addition to being named one of Canada’s Leading Practitioners in the area of Family Law by the Canadian Lexpert Directory, Grant is a Dispute Resolution Officer for the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. He is the Past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association, and incoming Chair of the Family Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association. He was a former instructor at the Bar Admission Course.
