Jody is a born litigator, which means that in addition to being a trial lawyer, he is an advocate, a negotiator, and an educator, to name but a few. However, to Jody's clients he is simply a friend, and the feeling is always mutual.
Jody's practice includes, among other things, an emphasis on insurance defence, coverage and subrogation. Jody's primary areas of focus are occupiers’ liability, motor vehicle claims, personal injury, property damage, construction liens, boiler and machinery, large loss, environmental, professional negligence, and product liability.

Although he prides himself on his ability to achieve excellent results out-of-court, Jody also has civil trial and appeal appearances at all levels of Ontario courts and some administrative tribunals.
After working in insurance litigation at a boutique Toronto firm, Jody joined McCague Borlack LLP as an associate in 2012. Bringing with him significant hands-on practical experience, Jody continues developing his client-centered practice.
Video-gaming, flying his stunt kite, and savouring a hard-fought victory of the board game Settlers of Catan™ are only a few of Jody's diverse and eclectic interests. He also absolutely loves to travel, and spent a year back-packing through Japan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. Above all, Jody is happiest when spending quality time with his family and friends.
