Front-Desk Receptionist - Toronto


We are accepting résumés to fill a Front-Desk Receptionist position in our Toronto Office.

  • The primary responsibility of the Receptionist is to greet, screen and route visitors in a friendly and professional manner while answering and directing incoming calls.

Further responsibilities cover a wide range of clerical duties includes but are not limited to:

  • respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients and business partners,
  • refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals across the organization,
  • take and record telephone, e-mail, or written message for staff members. 
  • schedule boardrooms and teleconferences ensuring appropriate equipment is requested,
  • administrate company deliveries and electronic facsimile transmissions,
  • maintain firm security by following visitor protocols, (i.e. monitor all visitors entering the firm, issue visitor badges),
  • some overflow filing and general data entry, and
  • maintain a tidy and organized reception area. 
The successful candidate(s) will have the following qualifications and skills:
  • high school diploma or an acceptable combination of education and experience,
  • As a front-line worker, present a positive and professional image.
  • superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills,
  • strong customer service orientation,
  • strong written and verbal skills in order to communicate with all levels of the organization,
  • strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel),
  • superior typing skills,
  • ability to draft general correspondence, including memos and letters,
  • general mathematical skills,
  • ability to follow directions and carry out instructions,
  • flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands,
  • very dependable, and
  • ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Experience in a prior receptionist capacity will have an advantage.
