Amanda joined McCague Borlack LLP with 5+ years' of combined insurance defence and plaintiff litigation experience gained from mid- to large-sized insurance defence and plaintiff law firms as well as working in-house at an insurance company. She has attended at mediations, pre-trials and trials, and brings several years of experience preparing for trial on both sides. She has also assisted with Civil Divisional Court Appeals and appeals heard at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Her experience clerking on both sides gives her the added advantage of anticipating next steps in the course of litigation.
Amanda attended Laurentian University and went on to obtain her law clerk diploma in 2012 from Niagara College. She became a certified (caregiver) peer mentor in May 2015 with the Ontario Brain Injury Association and was acclaimed to the Education Representative position for the 2016-2017 term with the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, Law Clerk Section.
