Tess returned to McCague Borlack as an associate after successfully completing her articles with the firm in 2022. She maintains a broad litigation practice with an emphasis on civil and commercial litigation, employment law, and insurance defence.

Tess is detail-oriented, thoughtful, and motivated to reach her client's goals as efficiently as possible. She strives to ensure that her clients feel understood and prioritizes their needs throughout the litigation process.

Throughout law school, Tess honed her interest in advocacy and litigation by participating in a moot and several competitive mediations and negotiations. She refined her legal writing skills through her role as a Legal Writing Leader, where she facilitated legal writing conferences with first-year law students to identify weaknesses and improve their writing.

Outside of work, Tess can be found enjoying the outdoors, watching reality TV shows with friends, and experimenting with gluten-free recipes.
