Objective

In order to promote our Mission Statement, we have established a Diversity Committee within our firm. The committee provides leadership to allow our firm to accomplish the following:

  • provide a workplace free of discrimination on the grounds of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, gender, orientation, age, marital status, family status, same-sex partnership status or disability;
  • create an environment in which every member of the firm can realize his or her potential for excellence;
  • create an environment that respects people’s dignity, ideas and beliefs, thereby ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion in employment;
  • identify barriers that might prevent each office from complying with the Mission Statement, establish procedures to eliminate the barriers and implement policies to remove them;
  • provide opportunities for and encourage diversity and inclusion education and training;
  • promote equal opportunity for all legal and non-legal staff, associates and partners and those seeking employment at our firm in a workplace free of discrimination.
