A Focus on Civil Litigation and Insurance Defence
Profile:
Ryan practices in the area of civil litigation with a focus on insurance defence, bringing with him several years' experience after having worked at a mid-size law firm in Barrie and for an insurance company. Ryan has successfully argued motions before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, as well as being actively involved in numerous trials.
Prior to his legal career, Ryan was a licensed Insurance Sales Agent for one of Canada’s largest insurers, focusing on commercial lines and property insurance. With this exposure, he gained valuable insight into the claims process. This unique viewpoint allows Ryan to assist his clients in achieving the best possible results.
While at law school, Ryan was a caseworker for the Queen’s Legal Aid clinic. Ryan helped Kingston's disadvantaged residents with a wide variety of matters in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation, family disputes, and provincial offences.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family at their cottage in Muskoka.
