Ashley plays a dual role in the firm, acting as both a litigator and McCague Borlack’s Director of Student Program and Audit.
Ashley’s litigation practice focuses on insurance defence claims with a specialization in handling occupier’s liability and professional liability matters. Ashley has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal, and before various tribunals.
As the firm’s Director of Student Program and Audit, Ashley is responsible for all aspects of the summer and articling student programs, including the recruitment, supervision, and professional development of the students, as well as liaising with law schools. She also oversees the Continuing Professional Development of the firm’s lawyers and the firm’s mentorship program.
When not in the office, Ashley can be found spending time with her young family.
On March 15, 2020, Chief Justice Morawetz released a Notice to the Profession advising that as a result of the pandemic, the Superior Court of Justice had adjourned all scheduled civil hearings, effective March 17, 2020.
