In 2012, Desneiges joined the Ottawa office of McCague Borlack LLP as an associate. Prior to joining the firm, Desneiges summered and articled at a full-service firm in Ottawa. Desneiges practices civil litigation, with a focus on insurance law and employment law.

Desneiges' experience includes personal injury claims, property damage claims, subrogation and a variety of coverage disputes. She has experience with municipal liability claims including flooding matters and slip and fall actions.

Desneiges has acted or assisted on matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Provincial Offences Court, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Showing her passion for advocacy early on, Desneiges competed in moots in her first and second year of law school. In 2009, Desneiges represented Queen’s University at the Wilson Moot. The Queen’s team placed second nationally. In third year, Desneiges was a recipient of an award for her contribution to the Queen’s Law moot program.

While at law school, Desneiges volunteered for Pro Bono Services, many committees, and as a tutor/mentor for first year law students. Desneiges received the Denis Marshall Memorial Award for her outstanding contribution to the Queen’s Law Community. Desneiges continues to volunteer for non-profits in the Ottawa area.
