Since summering at McCague Borlack in 2025, Kylie has completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa. Kylie has found a passion for litigation and spent her time in law school diving into trial and appellate advocacy courses, moots and dispute resolution programs. She thoroughly enjoyed courses on mediation, negotiation and interviewing and counselling as well. She also acted as an upper-year mentor to incoming law students through the university’s Allies in the Law Program. Kylie returns to the firm for her articling term with an interest in exploring the areas of subrogation, product liability and professional negligence, among other things.
Before pursuing law school, Kylie completed her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Law at Carleton University, graduating on the Dean’s Honours List. Kylie has a passion for the environment and previously worked as a Project Manager for a non-profit with a focus on habitat conservation in Canada. This experience allowed her to hone her file management, problem-solving and client relations skills. She has also volunteered with environmental legal organizations and participated with Pro Bono Students Canada, conducting research in the area of climate litigation which helped strengthen her research and advocacy skills.
In her free time, Kylie enjoys reading, baking and adventuring around Ottawa with her dog, Simcoe.
