Alexis is entering her third year of her Juris Doctor (J.D.) in the English Common Law program at the University of Ottawa. Throughout law school, Alexis has been involved in her student community, developing a strong interest in oral advocacy at the Walsh Family Law Negotiation Competition, and facilitating learning and career development opportunities for students as Vice President Events of the Criminal Law Students’ Association.
Prior to law school, Alexis completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Language and Literature at Brock University and a Master’s in Political Science at Carleton University. During her Master’s, Alexis completed co-operative education work terms with the federal government at Public Safety Canada and Infrastructure Canada.
During her free time, Alexis enjoys walking her Labrador Retriever, Sunny, and maintaining an active lifestyle by running and participating in exercise classes. Alexis reads a variety of genres, including historical fiction and fantasy. Additionally, Alexis enjoys spending time with friends and family.
